  • Property appropriation fails the "two guys in a room" test

I think the appropriation of property fails the "two guys in a room" test. Here's my thinking: For a behavior to be morally good, it has to be universally practicable If there are two guys and an unappropriated plot of land in a room, they can't both be the first to mix their labor...

  • Stef's comparison between evolution and the free market.

I heard Stef say that the free market was very similiar to evolution. That, indeed the theory of evolution proves that the lack of central planning produces organized, efficent interactions amongst life. That without a government, we humans and all of life evolved to the level of sophistication we have...

  • Anarchy, Evolution, Nature and Politics

I had some thoughts about 'universal anarchism' earlier today. What do you reckon? I think that the real beauty of anarchy is it's reliance on natural selection. The main driving force behind the free market comes down to innovation, and so does anarchy in general - competing ideas are free...

I think that Neo-Tech never focused enough on the specific cause of all society's problems which is child abuse and neglect by parents. • Re: The Nature of Natural

toth8: Stefan Molyneux: No, I've never particularly liked the division between "natural" and "man-made"; it posits a false dichotomy, and false dichotomies always help those in power get more power... So then government is a natural entity, since humans are part of nature and...

  • Re: The Nature of Natural

CCS: I think the division falls along the lines of free will and determinism. If its determined then it is the natural course. If there is a concious decision to deliberately change this natural course by will it is synthetic. If beavers are conciously choosing to change the natural course then it would...

  • Re: The Nature of Natural

i completely agree. if evolution is granted, then we are a result of natural patterns, we were created by natural laws and natural selection, so we must be natural, and anything we do must be natural. either that, or people have to start labeling bever dams and bird nests "synthetic".
