• Saving Daughters...?

Greetings everyone. I'll apologize in advance for this being somewhat long, but I have to tell a little back story before I get to the crux of the problem if I am to hope anyone can offer advice. Like far too many kids, my sister and I are from a "broken" home. Our parents divorced when...

  • The word 'bad' is a dangerous weapon, use it wisely

I'll never forget the night I stopped my mom dead in her tracks when my two year old son didn't want to wear a jacket on our way outside. "you're such a bad boy"; "you stop that right there! He's not a bad boy, he's a good boy who doesn't want to wear a jacket right...

  • Because You Were My Brother

Because You Were My Brother I attacked you. I failed to defend you. I didn’t stand up for you. I felt attachment. I felt hostility. I felt resentment. I felt pain. You complained for years. I finally listened. You vaporized it with a wave of your hand. You didn’t really want to resolve our...

  • If everyone knows child abuse is wrong, why do I feel like a leper?

When I express my desire to not hit, verbally abuse or shame my children, I'm treated like a freak at family gatherings; everyone tiptoes around the subject, trying not to give me a reason to talk about it. On top of that, since when is not lying such a revolutionary idea? People act like I'm...

  • I Can't Stand Being Around Statists Anymore!!!

Hey Everyone, I didn't know which category I should put this in. So, I just stuck it here. I have defeated every statist in my life multiple times in arguments about the state. They do one of two things when this happens: 1. They get really angry. Sometimes they just yell. Sometimes they will become...

  • FOO Fighters!

All hopped up on a whole weekend in the presence of like-minded individuals at Libertopia (except for that lawyer in the mask... Perry Mason WTF?!?) my wife, Kelly, and I both made great strides towards real honesty with our FOOs. A few weeks ago Kelly put up a post on her blog explaining why we don't...

  • Parenting Improvements because of FDR

Since I have been listening to FDR, I have seen a dramatic improvement in my dealings with my kids, especially since I let go of the "it must be done" attitude. The "it" being whatever I wanted them to do, clean up toys, eat, etc. I have seen dramatic improvements in their attitudes...

  • Re: 38 Year Old Father of 2 Who Listened to RTR Audiobook
Here's to your son and daughter living long lives. Now, you mentioned that RTR confirmed your intuitive suspicions. Would you like to share how? Give as much detail as you think is relevant.
We have been together for 16 ½ years. We've been...

  • Re: 38 Year Old Father of 2 Who Listened to RTR Audiobook

It has been in the back of my mind for about 3 years but I didn't dwell on it. I started giving serious consideration to it in March. RTR pretty much confirmed it about 2 weeks ago. Also, my son is 6 years old and my daughter is 3.
