In UPB and Ep. 2288 Stef defines UPB to be about the unavoidable and APA about the avoidable; furthermore, Stef argues that being on time---or more exactly, other people being late to their appointments with you---is avoidable since you can refuse to hang out with tardies. In much the same way, you can...

The argument is simple. If violence is wrong across the board then it applies to animals too...no? Meaning we shouldn't kill them or use tortorous factory farming for milk.

I would like to restate the question since there was confusion as to specifics. Is it a violation of UPB for not abiding the implicit contract of financially supporting your family as in parents and siblings? It is basically expected for the oldest to be the next in line in terms of support when the...

Regarding Stephan's claim in that property rights are justified, from the book "a rational proof of secular ethics". thanks stephan for your brilliant work which i appreciate! however, I percieve a flaw: you claim that ownership must exist because self-ownership exists. Lets question this...

D4Shawn is quite the comic, apparently it's universally preferable not to believe in universal preferences! There's a very good reason why these youtube guys have such intense anxiety about UPB and ethics. I know. I used to be one of them... :)

I agree with the UPB standpoint, but the rest is questionable because I would submit that a parent, theoretically, shouldn't do things destructive enough to really be sent to a time out. But in theory, sure, if a parent hits or throws something at someone, they should definitely be sent to time out...
