Hi, me and my friend Benjamin (same name on the boards) has a small den open in the finished downstairs of the house we rent in Seattle, WA. The room is 11.5ft x 6.5 ft, has a small closet shared by the hot water tank. The room has its own thermastat and forced-air heating vent. This room was my office, and it can be as toasty as you want it. Large 6ft long window at ground level, no pretty view here as it faces a wooden security fence. You will share a full bathroom with me, as my bedroom is also downstairs.
Room rents for $300/month + even split of utilities and internet with Ben and I. Also, the wireless internet router is in the room and needs to remain there.
We live in Ballard, a neighborhood north of downtown Seattle. There is lots of good restaurants and shops around within walking distance, and of course many coffee shops! We are a half hour walk to the shores of the Puget Sound, and there are several parks in the area. And the Olympic and Cascade Mountains are only an hour's drive west and east of here.
Ben and I are working hard on self-knowledge and applying rational principles to our personal relationships. That means lots of discussion of feelings and family, among anything else of interest. We want this home to remain a secure environment to speak our mind and express our feelings in a respectful way. So this is a great environment for someone who is also working on their own self-knowledge and logical understanding.
