People like meeting actors from old TV shows because it allows them to relive experiences which brought them joy.
I recently purchased a DVD for my nephew of some cartoons that I watched when I was growing up in the early to mid 1980s. It has been 25 years since I last saw them and I remembered how much I enjoyed them as a kid. I decided to watch it first before giving it to my nephew. I was expecting to be mildly amused, but hearing the music, voices, and sound effects evoked some strong emotions that I wasn't expecting.
