In May 2007, we had 12,431 unique visits/month - in April 2008, we had 40,000+...

We had 80,000 podcast downloads in May 2007, in Apr 2008, we had >280,000.

We went from podcast 747 to 1055...

We had no premium podcasts back then, now we have 125...

In May of 2007, we had a few thousand video views - in April 08, we had ~50,000...

1 year = 5 books, hundreds of podcasts, dozens of articles, a symposium, a new server, a new web site, a BBQ, a Salon...

And a new life.

Just over a year ago, I tuned into FreeDomainRadio...

Back then I was in an apartment with blankets over the windows, a rifle I kept oiled and a guitar I rarely picked up.

Fear and hatred were called forth by the sight of anything from a shawl to a police car.

I felt that the only good I could accomplish involved spilling blood and hastening my own death.

I was spasming with rage at the slightest provocation, and further raging at my total ineffectiveness in chasing my desires.

I had little but contempt for most people I encountered. 

1 year = reduced self hatred and self-imposed isolation, discarding of destructive stagnation for the sake of habit, dreams which are not full of terror, hated and willfully "ignored", and a glimmer of hope for something other than utter futility and failure.

I remembered the 'die is cast' podcast was some time in January of '07, so in Feb of this year I was trying to remember exactly when it was that you went full time, but I couldn't recall the exact day.  

Anyway, congratulations. Go buy yourself a big steak and celebrate.

Those statistics really put things into perspective. I feel very, very encouraged.

Your decision to go full time certainly had an effect on me. Two weeks later, I joined the board. A few weeks after that, I finally gave up on all political fantasies (theoretically. . . it took a while to get it all the way out of my system!).
