    Zeitgeist, Atheists, and the Illuminati

I don't know if you guys have seen it yet, but here is a link to a film called Zeitgeist.  http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5547481422995115331

There is, of course, a lot of fear about the first part of the film, which tries to discredit the story of Jesus.  I am not especially interested in the truth or non-truth of this, though I found the comparisons interesting.

But what is more entertaining, is this article on the movie: http://www.henrymakow.com/zeitgeist_movie_illuminati_exp.html

In the article, the author tries to link Atheists to the New World Order and the Illuminati.  Here was an interesting quote:

Along with religion, it also assails nation and race in passing, 3 out of the 4 on the Illuminati hate-list. (No mention of family.)

I guess FDR is part of the NWO as well, what a shame Wink

My favorite part is the comments.  One person says that belief in evolution is the reason people are losing religion.  Another says that Zeitgeist can be disproved by the body of Christ (I have no idea what that means, nor do I care to read the blog to find out).  And one dude's evidence for Satanism in Zeitgeist is the "Satanic monotone music" at the beginning.

Sigh, People are enormously funny, but so sad at the same time.

People who teach their kids conclusions are harming their kids ability to understand reality, and are thus abusers. Those who teach methods are not. This is a difference in kind. People who teach their kids the conclusion that Santa Claus exists are not inflicting a lifetime full of guilt or fear. Those who teach that Jesus Christ exists are. The latter are far more egregious. This is a difference in degree.

Interesting review. Thanks for pointing it out. The author concludes: "Hopefully viewers of 'Zeitgeist' will recognize that faith in God answers a very real spiritual hunger." Since when is a "spiritual hunger" a tool of cognition? I satisfy my spiritual hunger by pursuing knowledge and wisdom through evidence and logic. Here's a clickable link:

Here's a thread where a few of us commented on Zeitgeist:

Well everyone knows there is not a god but there are space aliens called the akanani that are 7 ft reptilian humanoids that split humanity in to two sexes and interbreed with humanity to create the apparatus of control for the Illuminati and these hybrids are able to shape shift. It's true David Icke told me so, I mean I have to follow a man who has based his whole life around a vision he had on ayahuasca where a disembodied voice gave him his latest manifesto.

And the question is, was I more alive then than I am now? I happily have to disagree; I laugh more often now, I cry more often now, I am more me.

I just watched the film, I enjoyed it, from an entertainment prospective
I haven't checked out the "facts" that the film has used yet, so im not going to comment on that side.

One thing that stood out was the "North American Union"... Whats up with that?

The North American Union is a plan by the CFR to create a EU type organization in North America.  Check out www.spp.org, google the "NAFTA superhighway" and "NAU".  It's pretty crazy, and if you look at the history of the EU, the NAU is taking the same first steps.  The SPP is very similar to the EU's EEC.  Welcome to 1984, where there are no longer small states fighting stupid wars, but super-states crushing the world under their over-sized iron boots.

Yes it does look like the trend toward political centralization and consolidation is continuing apace, though with somewhat unpredictable countercurrents, including the internet and various forms of grass-roots opposition (especially the individual pursuit of personal freedom, of course). Here's a quote from an article I really liked by Anthony Gregory over at LRC:

    http://www.lewrockwell.com/gregory/gregory145.html

"Now, don’t get me wrong. I don’t want to be ruled by Mexican or Canadian politicians, and nothing of the sort can be ruled out 100%. Times do change, and the U.S. is indeed weakening. Of course, the best solution to Mexican or Canadian influence over the U.S. government is the same as it was in the case of the Communists: Reduce the power of the government, ideally to zero, and replace it with the institutions of private property, liberty and free association.

But ultimately, as centuries of American imperial ambition show, we U.S. citizens do not have to dread that we will awake one day, finding ourselves suddenly living under an internationalist, interventionist regime with no respect for national boundaries, free markets or the rule of law. We need not fear a North American Union arising and dominating us because it already exists and we already live under it. It is called the United States. If anyone should fear their national identity being sacrificed on the altar of such a Union, they are the Canadians and Mexicans, who have been pushed around by the actual Union for the better part of its existence, a Union that has repeatedly invaded their lands with the pretentious and undying aspiration of one day ruling the entire continent."
