From the producers of HBO's 'The Wire'

This looks to be of equal quality. Please note Steve Buscemi's opening line of the clip

Yeah I've been tracking this for a while now. I reeeeally liked Deadwood and to a lesser extent The Wire, and also Treme. HBO do some simply awesome stuff. Here's a timelapse video of them making the set for Boardwalk Empire:

Note: this is actually widescreen but isn't displaying properly above.

What have you thought of the show so far, Dave?

I think it's outstanding, Buscemi is capable of great depth imho. I like how there are psychopaths on both sides of the law.

Re: From the producers of HBO's 'The Wire'

I've watched 2 or 3 episodes. It's very well done (the atmosphere) and the acting is good. I somehow found it kind of boring, maybe because I don't like old movies and movies about distant past, and because I couldn't sympathize with any of the characters. But that's just me. My girlfriend likes it.

I like how it shows how blatantly corrupt, debauched or sociopathic almost everyone inside the political system is. Also I like that it explores the tensions and links between various political gangs: County, Fed, Mafia, Washington, Police, etc.
