I've been meaning to post this for a while now, I'm not sure exactly why but for some reason every time I listened to this song I think of FDR.

(I do not mean to be explicitly literal and think FDR is wrong, quite on the contrary)

Hi all.  It's been a while since I have posted here.  I thought I would reintroduce myself by sharing my pick for the FDR theme song.

I figure it should have something to say about social conformity, willful ignorance, and the treatment of children.  My pick is "They" by Jem:

Try to find a better recording as the sound of this youtube clip does not do justice to the many rich samples used.

Predictably, after this song began getting wider exposure the mass media machine replaced the congruent video above with this pointless zero-g strip tease thereby confounding the entire message.

When I was younger, my teenage years, I never liked Rush (and I'm Canadian). I had a friend that thought they were the greatest band ever but I never understood why.

I tried to listen and remember this song specifically but I never made the connection to the very obvious situation I understand now.

Wasted youth!
