The question of choice, incentives and morality. I think I'm on to something!

There are three fundamental paradigms or axioms that influence human behaviour; Morality (NAP), Ethics (Virtue) and Incentives.

Lets accept the NAP as the main UPB compliant moral rule.

Now, lets assume that incentives drive the initiation of violence (violation of NAP) which results in no choice for the receivers.

also lets assume that Ethics (Virtue) exist within the realm of choice, ex; Honesty, Integrity, courage, etc.

    Now, here are the if’s.

If, Moral (NAP) and Ethical (Virtue) are acted on, than the result is in NAP-Virtue aka; Integrity, Honesty and Courage, etc.

If incentives are acted on, violating the NAP, ex; theft, murder, rape.  Than the result is Evil behaviour.

and, if the NAP is acted upon, but not ethics, than that results in corruption. Ex; manipulation, lying, etc.

Now accepting all of the previews, the question of choice is at the paradigm/axiom of corruption. between acting out incentives or acting out virtue. and so, if the previews is accepted, than at this point is where ambivalence takes place, and there for choice.

These are a few thought I had about the topic the other day, when talking to a pretty strong relativist. For some reason this clicked, and I post it here, for ur delightful scrutiny. J

I would greatly appreciate any thoughs, comments or corrections, there is a lot more to talk about here. I think there is some evidence for it, which I will follow up with soon, but for now I want to post this.

I strongly Recomend Stef's Novels, they are AMAZING.  deep, trilling, and a rich way to get a taste of what morality as we explore it here in FDR looks like.
