We have some group rates available at the Sheridan Residence and Conference Center in Brampton, less than 10 minutes from the Molyneux house.

We currently have a quote for a block of 5 rooms, each accommodating 4 adults, at a rate of US $59.06/night (plus 10% tax) from 5/28 to 6/01.

If we need more, we'll need to know soon!

Please register your interest here, and to help us out, coordinate with the other people so we can get a firm number of rooms.

[Edited to add] - they do not provide an airport shuttle, so you can either get a cab (they say about CAD$20), or we'll all make sure to exchange phone numbers beforehand so that we can coordinate rides. 

Thanks for finding this great rate and location James and Crystal!  We are going to be there on the 29th, would we need to pay for a room on the 28th if we opt in for this group rate?  Just wanted to make sure to calculate it into our budget.  Thanks

Update!  Details follow:

Unfortunately, the location in Brampton is fully booked for the 29th.  They have another location in Oakville, which is about 30km from Stef's house.  Due to the inconvenience, they have given us a break on the rate.

The location of the property we'll be staying at is:

1410 Trafalgar Road
Oakville, Ontario

The base rate will be paying per night, per suite is:
CAD$64.95 (USD$51.09 at current exchange rates)

This is our rate for 2 adults per suite.  Adult #3 and Adult #4 are CAD$5 each.

Any additional taxes and/or fees apply.

We have 8 rooms reserved from 5/28 to 6/1; if you have a different schedule, you'll be able to indicate that when you make your reservation.  You should only be paying for the time you stay.  If you have any issues with this, please let me know so I can follow-up.

NB: The hotel is almost fully-booked for that weekend, so please share a suite with at least one other person.  It's not likely we'll be able to get more rooms if we fill up the block.

The booking is done by individuals, so you'll want to determine your roommates and then make the reservation with the hotel directly.

This rate is only good until 4/28, or 30 days from the first available date of our reserved block.  After this date, the rate at that hotel goes to CAD$99/night.

[Edit] whoops! looks like I messed up the currency conversion.  The CAD$ rate is correct, though.

FYI: there is also a group code available for renting automobiles through Hertz, and those rates are pretty nice, too!

Something like $29/day for a full-size... but only if you put from 12pm on 5/28 to 7pm on 6/1, oddly enough. (10am to 10am on the same date range almost doubles the price!)

Woo hoo! I'm in need of a roommate. Does anybody else in on the group rate still need one? I'm a great roommate. Snore free since 2004, and I won't have any wild parties and trash the place and/or sell all your stuff to buy an Xbox. Those days are behind me, I'm a changed man. I plan to arrive on 5/29 and leave on 6/1. I also need a transportation buddy if anyone is interested in splitting vehicle costs, as I'll be flying in.

Update

All of the suites blocked out for the group rate have been reserved!  If you were waiting for openings, sorry, we were only able to get 8 suites (16 bedrooms) at this time.

If you're still looking for accommodations, I'd move quickly!  For some reason, there aren't many open spots left, like, in Mississauga.

(In a way, this is a great problem to have; next year we'll all know better!)
